Bradley Cheetham Biography

Bradley Cheetham is a former Assistant Secretary and former Regional member of the NSS Board of Directors.

Bradley Cheetham is a graduate research associate at the University of Colorado at Boulder within the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research. His areas of technical research include technology development to enable the direct imaging of exosolar planets, improvements in space situational awareness and orbital debris mitigation, and advancements to cislunar navigation within the Earth-Moon three-body regime. In addition to these technical efforts he has also led in the establishment of the FAA Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation.

Bradley has had a long involvement with Students for the Exploration and Development of Space both as a chapter founder and as an advisor. He has dedicated much personal effort to outreach activities including a role as advisor to the SpaceVision 2011 conference and as executive director of the We Want Our Future Initiative which uses space exploration to inspire young students to get involved in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Bradley has volunteered in various roles to support the Society’s annual ISDC from 2008-2012 and supported and participated in several Legislative Blitz events. Additionally he serves as a member of the AIAA Commercial Space Group, on the Board of Directors of the Future Space Leaders Foundation, and as an observing member of the International Astronautical Federation’s Entrepreneurship and Investment Committee.
