James Wolff is a seasoned commercial space entrepreneur. He is Corporate Counsel to Warshaw Burstein LLP, a Tier 1 mid-market law firm located in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, where he specializes in transactional representation of emerging technology companies and provides services including mergers and acquisitions, investment, intellectual property, and corporate governance representation.

After graduating from Johns Hopkins, James was a cofounder of the asteroid mining company Deep Space Industries, headquartered at NASA Ames. Since then James has continued working with incredible startups and mentors including Immortal Data, Space Initiatives, Rogue Space, Blackstar Orbital, Orbital Assembly, United Space Structures, United Frontiers, and more. James has also had the privilege of being a cofounder of a startup that won the 2023 NASA Entrepreneurs Challenge for an innovative Moon lander support system for the Artemis program, and a 2024 NASA NIAC for the first Interstellar Probe Mission to Proxima Centauri.

James has also gained deep experience with non-profits, including the Mars Society, Space Court Foundation, and over a decade as an executive board member of the United Nations Association, SDNY. He is also a member of the NSS International Committee and the NSS Policy Committee.
