Illustrating Roadmap Milestone 19
Description: Olympus is a touristic settlement competing in this year’s NASA/NSS Space Settlement Design Contest (as a Small Team with Alexandra Voinea, Aneek Patel, Nikhil Kunapuli, Ileana Rugina, Francesca Raileanu and Alexandru Glontaru). It has been designed to be solely touristic, and is luxury oriented. Designed as a business proposal, Olympus promises a whole new approach to space settlements, and their construction, exclusively self-financed.
Medium/Tools Used: I used Autodesk 3ds Max for modeling Neo and the asteroid, with Greeble as a modifier as well as numerous environment effects. Finally, I used Photoshop for the final corrections.
