Space Settlement Art Contest: Aldrin/Collins Station, Lunar South Pole

by Steve Munsinger
Category: Lunar Settlements

Description: Two crawlers pass each other outside the South Polar research station under the near-full Earth.  Most of the facility is underground with two domes marking the entrance.  In addition to solar energy, the facility processes it’s own power by utilizing the cometary ices found underground nearby.

Medium/Tools Used: The image was created in Bryce 4 and Adobe Photoshop 7.
